The cookie we set

One cookie, named lnk_vid. It holds a random identifier, no name and no email address. It lasts 12 months.

It is only created after you click Accept in the banner. If you decline it is never set, and if one already existed it is deleted immediately. Your choice is stored in your browser, not on our servers.

Declining blocks nothing: measurement continues anonymously, per session, with no identifier that survives closing the tab.

What the analytics record

On each visit the server records:

IP address

never kept as such. It is turned into a fingerprint (SHA-256 of the address and the day) that cannot be reversed.

Country, region, city

derived by the host from the connection.

Device, browser, system

derived from the header your browser sends.

Language and landing page

so we know where you came in.

Source

referring site and campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) when present.

Journey

pages viewed, sections read, clicks on call and booking buttons, video plays.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept for 12 months, then deleted. The lnk_vid cookie also expires after 12 months.

Emails sent through the contact form stay in our inbox for as long as it takes to handle your request and the follow-up that comes from it.

What the contact form sends

Name, company, email, phone and message. These go straight to our team by email and are not written to a database.

We use them to reply to you, and for nothing else.

Where the data lives

The analytics database is hosted in Canada, in our provider's central Canadian region.

The site itself is served by an international delivery network, and form emails pass through a sending service located outside Canada. Those transfers are limited to what is needed to display the site and reply to you.

We sell no data and we use no ad network and no retargeting.

YouTube in no-cookie mode. Nothing loads until you start a video.

Your rights

You can ask for access to the information about you, for it to be corrected or deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent also works by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.

We answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Our privacy officer

Quebec's Law 25 requires every business to designate someone responsible for protecting personal information, and to publish how to reach them. Ours is Emeric Larocque, co-founder of Groupe Lenoks IA Inc.
